Third Person Singular Number, also known as 3psn, is a Bengali language film directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and written by Anisul Hoque. The film stars actors Mosharraf Karim and Nusrat Imrose Tisha. They are supported by Rashed Uddin Ahmed Topu, Abul Hayat, Lekha Haque, Esha, Aporna Ghosh, Rani Sharkar, Shahir Huda Rumi, Dikon Noor, D.H. Khan, Kamal Hossain Babor, Chabi and Tarek Mahmud. 3psn was inspired by the novel "Tin Porber Jibon" by S. Manzoorul Islam[citation needed]. This film premiered at the Star Cineplex in Dhaka on December 10, 2009 in Bangladesh. Produced by Impress Telefilm Limited., the film was released simultaneously at several theatres across the country. On a bigger scale, the film releases worldwide from December 13 in several countries including France and Australia. Nusrat Imrose Tisha as Ruba, a modern, educated and free-spirited young woman, like a growing number of middle class women in Dhaka. She lives together with Munna, who she is in love with, but has chosen not to marry traditionally. She strongly believes in her own independence and questions, must a single, independent woman always be treated as an outcast in Bengali society? Mosharraf Karim as Munna, an NGO worker who lives with Ruba. He was convicted for a murder and was sent to jail.
